Jonathan Sowah’s goal helps Medeama SC beat Nsoatreman FC to move third on league log
Medeama SC secured their fourth win in five matches as they beat Nsoatreman FC to move third on the betPawa Premier League table.
The Yellow and Mauves, won this outstanding fixture 1-0 at the Akoon Community Park, Tarkwa on Thursday as they continued with the defence of the title they won last season.
After a scoreless first half, Sowah popped up with the only goal of the game in the 54th minute, to hand Nsoatreman FC their second straight loss after losing to Accra Great Olympics on Monday.
With their fifth win of the campaign, Medeama SC, are now third on the log, level on 16 points with Nsoatreman FC who are second after nine matches played by both sides.
The two sides will continue with their exertions in the betPawa Premier League at the weekend as the season continues with the Matchday 10 matches.
Medeama SC will be home to Berekum Chelsea at Tarkwa where they are unbeaten at this season, and will be favoured to collect the three points.
Nsoatreman FC will return to base at the Nana Kromansah Amoah II Park, Nsoatre to host Real Tamale United, after their two successive defeats on the road.
