MidCity FC have called for total support ahead of their maiden appearance in the Ashanti Regional Second Division Middle League next month.
The Lions, will take part in the promotional tournament for the first time, and they have pleaded for total support.
The tournament will be held at the Baba Yara Stadium, from May 6-13, featuring all eight zonal winners in the just ended league campaign.
MidCity FC, won the league in Zone Five, dropping just four points in the 14 matches they played as they qualified for the upcoming event in style.
They have been drawn in Group B alongside Zone Four winners Longford SC, Ashanti Lynx from Zone Seven and Zone Eight champions Jachie United.
And, with the tournament coming up soon, MidCity FC have charged football lovers in the Ashanti region to come cheer them on as they seek to make progression to the next level.
They took to the Facebook page to announce this call saying: “Come in numbers to support your lovely club Midcity Football Club at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on May 6, 2024.
Chieftains at the club are confident of making it to the National Division One League (DOL) at the end of the campaign.
Drawn in Group A are Fast Track FC, Zone One; Benab FC from Zone Six, Sasaani Panin, Zone Three and Galaxy United from Zone Two.
The promotional tournament will be played on a round-robin basis at the group stage with the top two in each group, advancing to the semifinals where first will meet second in that order.
The two winners at the semifinal stage, will then meet in the grand finale for a place in the DOL next season, and MidCity FC, hopes to pick that ticket with support from their fans.
