CBG Bank has taken an early lead in the 2023 Bankers Football League after six matches as they seek to win this year’s competition.
They lead the standing with 11 points from the six games they have played, going into this weekend’s round of matches.
CBG, have won three matches, drawn two and lost one game so far, scoring four goals with just one against.
They are closely followed on the table by the National Investment Bank (NIB) and CAL Bank, who both have 10 points from six matches in second and third place respectively.
Both NIB and CAL Bank have won three, drawn two and lost one, with NIB scoring seven goals and have conceded five with CAL Bank scoring five goals and have conceded three.
In fourth position on the table are the Bank of Ghana with nine points, ahead of Stanbic Bank who have eight points.
Also with eight points but in sixth position are Access Bank with Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) in seventh position with seven points.
Bottom of the log after six matches, are First National Bank (FNB) who have amassed just one point from the six matches they have played.
The competition will continue on Saturday at the La McDan Astro Turf, Accra with the matches starting at 3:00 PM local time.
