David Marvin Ocloo has rejoined Asante Kotoko as an Assistant Coach ahead of the new season.
He becomes first assistant to Prosper Nartey Ogum who has been reappointed as coach of the Porcupines ahead of the 2023/24 season
The duo, worked together in guiding Kotoko to the 2021/22 league title, but fell out with the then management of the club headed by Nana Yaw Amponsah soon afterwards, and had to leave.
However, Coach Ogum has been named as new coach of the club following the appointment of an Interim Management Committee, (IMC) to run the club by owner the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.
This follows the end of term of the board and management of the club that has been in charge for the last three seasons.
Coach Ocloo, was in charge of Kotoko’s fierce rivals Accra Hearts of Oak as interim coach last season, helping the Phobians avoid relegation on the last day of the campaign.
He parted ways with the capital club last week, paving the way for this reunion with Coach Ogum in the Garden City.
They will look to bring glory back to the Porcupines who endured a very difficult campaign last season as they failed to defend their title, finishing fourth.
