BetPawa Premier League side FC Samartex scored five goals in two friendlies played on Thursday as they continued with the preparations for next season.
In the first game, the Timber Giants faced a Koforidua Select side with the encounter ending in a 1-1 draw at their pre-season camp at Akwapim Mampong.
Frank Awere got an equalizer for FC Samartex after the opposition had taken the lead as the game was drawn.
FC Samartex then scored four goals to nil in their second match of the day in a dominant display against Asanska FC, a Division Two side. A brace each by midfielder Gabriel Appiah and forward Kwasi Ofosu, secured the win for the top-flight side.
FC Samartex will continue with their preparations for the 2023/24 football season at their camp base before heading home to round off their preparations for the campaign.
That will be at Samreboi where they will host a four team tournament dubbed ‘The Nsenkyire’ Cup before they play their first league game of the season.
FC Samartex will open their account in the league with a home game against Aduana FC next month.
The Samreboi-based side, will look to build on their performance of last season when they managed to stay up on their debut campaign in the Ghanaian top-flight.
