The African Open 2024 PRO Fight Night comes off at the Sports Hall of the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday September 7 with some interesting bouts on the cards.
Organizer of the event Steavano Tuekpe said, the promotion will feature boxing, kick-boxing and mixed martial arts on what promises to be an exciting session in the nation’s capital.
Mr Tuekpe, also the Vice President of the Ghana Kickboxing and Combat Sports Association and WKU Africa, is optimistic of hosting a memorable evening, further details of which would be announced at a presser in Accra on Thursday.
Saturday’s event, will attract a flat rate of GH¢20 with reserved seats for VVIPs.
The event is under the auspises of the World Kickboxing Union (WKU).
Last year, the maiden edition of the African Open was held at Tema involving five combat sports, namely, taekwondo, karate, judo, kickboxing and MMA.
Last year 2023, Joe Lamptey and Serlom Darko stole the show in MMA and Kick-boxing, and they will look to do same again on Saturday.
