Reigning betpawa Premier league champions Medeama SC, have announce Cape Coast Stadium as their home venue for the group stage games of the CAF Champions League. This comes after their historic qualification from the preliminary rounds, where they defeated Remo Stars of Nigeria and AC Horoya of Guinea.
The team has been drawn in Group D of the competition, alongside the likes of Al Ahly, CR Belouizdad, and Young Africans SC. Knowing that they will be facing some of the giants of African football, Medeama is confident in their ability to cause upsets in front of their home crowd.
The inspection team from CAF has approved the Cape Coast Stadium, which will not only be the home venue for Medeama but also for CAF Confederation Cup campaigners, Dreams FC.
Medeama is also riding high on their recent trip to the United States, where they played against Major League Soccer (MLS) side DC United in the Capital City Cup. The friendly match was part of the Ghana Week 2023 celebrations in Washington DC.
With the support of their home fans at the Cape Coast Stadium, Medeama SC will be aiming to make a mark in the CAF Champions League group stage and defend their Ghana Premier League title.
