Just five minutes later, Ghana won a penalty after a foul in the box. Jordan Ayew stepped up and calmly converted from the spot in the 36th minute, giving Ghana a commanding 3-0 lead before halftime.

The Black Stars resumed with the same intensity, and their dominance was further reflected in the 56th minute when Mohammed Salisu rose high to head home a well-delivered corner, making it 4-0.
