Hon. George Mireku Duker Supports Bassanyin SC with GHS 5,000 Ahead of WRFA Middle League

Bassanyin Sporting Club has received a significant boost ahead of the Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) Middle League following a generous donation from former Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker.

On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Hon. Duker donated an amount of GHS 5,000 to support the team’s preparations for the upcoming Middle League tournament, which will be staged in Axim.

Bassanyin SC heads into the competition on a high after an impressive campaign in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Division Two League, where they not only secured qualification but emerged as group winners. This achievement marks a historic milestone for the club, as they prepare to participate in their first-ever Middle League.

The management of the club expressed deep appreciation for the timely support, emphasizing that the donation will go a long way in ensuring the team is well-prepared for the tournament.

“On behalf of the management of Bassanyin Sporting Club, we say God bless you, Hon. We are very grateful,” the club stated.

The technical team has also assured supporters and the people of Tarkwa Nsuaem of their commitment to making a strong impact in the competition.

The WRFA Middle League is set to kick off on Thursday, April 10, 2026, in Axim, with Bassanyin SC eager to make history once again.
