Asante Kotoko secured a vital 1-0 victory over Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, thanks to a decisive second-half strike from halftime substitute Kwame Poku in their Week 14 encounter of the Ghana Premier League.

After a tightly contested first half that ended goalless, Kotoko head coach made a tactical change at the break, introducing Kwame Poku. The move paid immediate dividends as Poku found the back of the net to break the deadlock, sending the home fans into celebration.

Dreams FC pushed for an equalizer in the latter stages, but Kotoko’s defence stood firm to protect their slender lead and secure all three points at home.

The win sees Asante Kotoko move up to third place on the Ghana Premier League table with 24 points, keeping them firmly in the title conversation as the season progresses.
