BREAKING: Asante Kotoko Seek Clarification from GFA Over Points Allocation Following Nsoatreman's Withdrawal

Asante Kotoko have officially written to the Ghana Football Association (GFA), seeking clarification on the criteria used in awarding points and goals to clubs that were yet to play Nsoatreman FC before the club’s withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League.

Nsoatreman FC pulled out of the ongoing campaign a few months ago, citing unresolved challenges. Their sudden exit has raised concerns among several clubs, particularly regarding how the league standings and statistics are being adjusted to reflect the change.

In a formal communication to the GFA, the Porcupine Warriors questioned the fairness and consistency of the process used to distribute points and goals in unplayed fixtures involving Nsoatreman. The club emphasized the importance of transparency and equal treatment of all teams, as the final league table could be significantly affected by the GFA’s decisions.

Asante Kotoko are currently battling for a strong finish in the league, and believe the integrity of the competition hinges on clarity and fairness in administrative decisions.

The GFA is yet to issue an official response to Kotoko’s inquiry. Meanwhile, several other clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation closely, as it could have far-reaching implications on both the title race and relegation battle.
