New coach of Ghana's senior female team Kim Lars Bjorkegren said, his long term aim to to guide the Black Queens to success after being named as technical head.
The Swede, is eying success at in the long run insisting that there is enough talent in the country to achieve this.
Coach Bjorkegren, was officially unveiled as the new head coach of the Black Queens at a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), in Accra on Friday.
He takes over from Nora Hauptle of Switzerland whose contract with Ghana, ended last December.
Coach Bjorkegren, has 18 years coaching experience, and has previously worked in Sweden, China, and the United States, and, has signed a two-year deal with Ghana.
"I can see so much talent in this country, so l am really sure that, in the short term, we have the potential to be successful," Coach Bjorkegren, told the Ghanaian media.
He added: "In the long term, I can always guarantee that we will be successful."
The Swede national, will embark on a 10-day training tour of Morocco later this month where, the Black Queens will play an international friendly against the Moroccan national team and a club side in Casablanca.
The Black Queens, will then shift focus towards preparations for the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in July also in Morocco.
Ghana have been drawn to play reigning champions South Africa, Mali, and Tanzania at the group stage of the competition in Morocco.
