Former Asante Kotoko player and coach Kwesi Appiah has meet the Asantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu II on a possible return to the club.
Totalsportsghana.com is informed that the owner and Life Patron of the club wants the former Ghana international as the new helmsman ahead of the new season.
Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, dissolved the board and management of the club on Monday after their three-year mandate ended.
A new direction on the future of the club is expected to be made public by the Asantehene before the start of the new season, and that will include the appointment of a new coach.
Youth team coach Abdul Gazale, took up the helm for the last few games of last season following the sacking of former Burkina Faso coach Seydou Zerbo for non performance.
Otumfuor Osei Tutu II will be keen to revive the fortunes of Asante Kotoko, and the appointment of Kwesi Appiah as new coach,
could fall in that direction.
Asante Kotoko finished fourth in the BetPawa Premier League last season after winning the title in the previous campaign.
