Dreams FC have confirmed their participation in next seasons CAF Confederation Cup competition after their qualification.
There were doubts in some quarters whether the club would go ahead to participate after earning that right.
However, the club have allayed those fears, insisting that they are poised for the action, and will seek to make an impression.
Dreams FC won the 2022/23 MTN FA Cup competition after beating King Faisal FC in the grand finale to earn the right to represent Ghana in the competition.
The club has released a statement to that effect saying among others that it has applied and have been duly issued the license to compete in the competition by Africa’s governing body of football.
“Management is already working assiduously to present a formidable side for this task and now awaits the draw for the first preliminary round,” the statement read.
The draw for the competition will be held later this July with the competition scheduled to start in August with the first preliminary round.
Dreams FC will hope for a favourable draw as they seek to make a strong impact as the club ventures into Africa for the first time.
The 2023-24 CAF Confederation Cup competition, will be the 21st edition of Africa’s second tier club football tournament organized by CAF.
It is expected to end in May 2024 with Algerian side USM Alger, the defending champions.
