BREAKING: Hearts of Oak Engages NSA Over Possible Return to Accra Sports Stadium
Accra Hearts of Oak have initiated discussions with the National Sports Authority (NSA) over a potential return to the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of their crucial Ghana Premier League clash against Medeama SC on Sunday.
The Phobians, who have been without a permanent home venue for much of the season, are hoping to secure clearance and a positive security and safety report by Friday to facilitate the move back to their traditional home ground.
Hearts of Oak shifted base to the University of Ghana Stadium midway through the first round of the GPL after parting ways with the Accra Sports Stadium. However, recent developments have seen the team temporarily relocate again—most recently hosting Nations FC at the Tuba Astro Turf in Tema, a match they lost.
The club believes a return to the familiar territory of the Accra Sports Stadium could provide a morale boost as they look to improve their fortunes in the league.
More updates are expected as the NSA finalizes its assessments and decisions regarding the request.
