Ghana’s team to the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Hungary have arrived safely in Budapest from their training camp in France.
The team arrived in Budapest on Wednesday to continue with their preparations for the track and field event which starts this weekend.
Team Ghana is being represented by Joseph Amoah, James Dadzie, Edwin Gadayi, Isaac Botsio, Raymond French and Deborah Acquah.
They had their pre-championship preparations in CREPS de Reims, France as the team targets some medals at the upcoming event.
The championships, starts on Saturday, August 19, and will conclude on Sunday, August 27 in the Hungarian capital.
This is the 19th edition of the World Athletics Championships, and it’s being held at the National Athletics Centre, Budapest.
Ghana will compete in the Women’s Long Jump, Men’s 200m and Men’s 4x100m in the nine-day championships.
The country is yet to medal at the global athletics event since they made their debut at the maiden edition in Helsinki, Finland in 1983.
