In a significant step towards the completion of the Tarkwa Na Aboso Stadium (TnA Stadium), the Gold Fields Foundation convened a stakeholders’ engagement session this morning at the venue. The event drew a diverse group of stakeholders, including representatives from the Office of the Municipal Chief Executive, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly, Electricity Company of Ghana, NADMO, National Ambulance, National Sports Authority, Western Region authorities, the Nananom of Apinto Traditional Council, Fire Service, GRA, Ghana Police Service, and members of the media, among others.
The gathering served a dual purpose: to conduct final inspections of the newly constructed stadium and to discuss upcoming plans, including the official commissioning ceremony. According to reports from the event, the facility is deemed practically completed, with minor details being ironed out internally.
Among the highlights of the engagement were photos showcasing the impressive progress, including the front view of the dressing room, entry to the dugout, and the pitch itself. Notably, Green Grass Technology has certified the pitch as 100% ready for use, signaling a significant milestone in the project’s development.
Gold Fields Foundation assured stakeholders that all necessary arrangements, including the commissioning ceremony, are under active consideration and will be communicated in due course. With the Tarkwa Na Aboso Stadium nearing its official opening, anticipation is high for the positive impact it will bring to the local community and beyond.
