Alice Obinewaa said she is happy about the progress his big brother Fredrick Asare has made in football and especially for Asante Kotoko.
Asare, has transformed into one of the best goalkeepers in Ghana, and was recently named in the Black Stars squad during the last international friendlies.
And, Obinewaa, is over joyed with the success of her brother who joined Asante Kotoko a couple of season’s ago on a free transfer after ending his stay at Accra Lions.
“Asare, is making the family proud, and I am extremely happy for this”, she told totalsportsghana.com.
She added: “Asare has always been a special figure at our home when we were growing up, and I am not surprised about the progress he has made”.
Asare, started his career in Nungua, Accra, and has gone on to represent Ghana at all levels, from U-17 to the senior national team.
He was in fantastic form for the Porcupines in their last game as they drew 1-1 with Medeama SC at Tarkwa in the Ghana Premier League.
He was captain on the day, and he will look to be in between the sticks on Sunday when Asante Kotoko hosts Legon Cities in the league at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi.
And for Obinewaa, she hopes her brother will have a good game on Sunday to help Asante Kotoko win the game as they seek to move up the table.
