Bibiani Goldstars FC needed two quick goals in the second half to secure a 2-1 victory over Dreams FC in their Ghana Premier League match on Sunday afternoon.
Recovering from last week’s defeat to Nsoatreman FC, the Miners returned to winning ways at Dun’s Park in Bibiani. Forward Alex Aso netted his 8th goal of the season just a minute after the half-time break to give Goldstars the lead. Defender Emmanuel Appau quickly doubled the advantage, capitalizing on their first-half dominance.
Dreams FC managed a consolation goal through Joseph Esso on the brink of full-time, marking his second goal of the season.
This victory places Goldstars in the 10th position on the league table, while Dreams FC remain precariously positioned, just two points above the relegation zone. In the next round of matches, Goldstars will travel to face league leaders FC Samartex 1996, while Dreams FC will host Karela United FC.
