Micheletti & Co, together with other workers, hired 924 people to help construct the T&A Stadium in Tarkwa, a project spearheaded by the Gold Fields Foundation. The initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader mission to improve the quality of life for residents in the Tarkwa area.
Beyond sports infrastructure, the Gold Fields Foundation focuses on critical areas such as education, healthcare, and clean water access. The Foundation is funded by Gold Fields Ghana’s mining operations, and over the past two decades, it has invested more than $100 million into community development projects.
This commitment has significantly strengthened the community, fostering growth and creating opportunities that benefit everyone. The T&A Stadium project is a shining example of how initiatives like these not only uplift the local economy through job creation but also enhance the well-being of residents. It highlights the lasting positive impact that strategic investments can have in ensuring a harmonious relationship between industry and community.
Isn’t it remarkable how the construction of a single stadium can spark such widespread benefits for the entire community?
