Home teams, scored eight goals with three coming from teams playing on the road in what is turning into a very competitive season.
At the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi on Sunday, Asante Kotoko secured their third win of the campaign with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Accra Lions thanks to a 48th minute effort by striker Albert Amoah.
Kotoko too the standings with 11 points from five games with Accra Lions who tasted their third defeat of the campaign, in 14th position with four points.
On Friday, Accra Hearts of Oak drew 0-0 with Aduana FC at the University of Ghana Stadium, Legon, Accra for their second drawn game of the season.
The Phobians, have five points from the five games they have played, and are in 12th position on the table.
Aduana FC, are without a win, having now drawn three of their opening five matches and in 16th position with three points.
On Saturday, Medeama SC played out a 0-0 drawn game with Heart of Lions at home at the TNA Stadium, Tarkwa as they dropped points for the first time this season.
The Yellow and Mauves are third on the log with 10 points with a game in hand, whilst Lions are seventh with seven points with both sides unbeaten so far.
Gold Stars won 1-0 at home to Bechem United on Sunday at the Dun’s Park, Bibiani as they maintained their unbeaten start to the season.
Michael Nkoah, scored the lone goal in the 35th minute for their third win of the campaign leaving them second on the table with 11 points.
Defeat, was the second for Bechem United who have five points and in 13th position on the table.
Vision FC, posted a 1-0 home win over Basake Holy Stars at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex, Tema New York thanks to a goal by Daniel Yemoh in the 43rd minute.
The new entrants, have eight points from five games, and are fifth on the log with fellow debutants Holy Stars in 15th position with four points.
Karela United drew 1-1 at home to FC Samartex at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, Tamale for their second drawn game of the season.
Godwin Sefah, opened the scoring for FC Samartex in the 45th minute before Mohammed Hadi got a late equalizer for the home side in the 90th minute.
Reigning champions FC Samartex, are eighth on the table with six points and with a game in hand with Karela United 10th with five points.
Nsoatreman FC, comfortably beat Legon Cities 3-1 at the Nana Kronamansah Park, Nsoatre for their second win of the season as they sit ninth on the table with six points and with a game in hand.
Legon Cities are bottom of the log with one point as they search for their first win of the campaign.
Richard Aquah, 8th, Walid Fuseini, 26th and Morrison Anokye, 38th minute, got the goals for Nsoatreman FC with
Mohammed Alidu, getting an 89th minute consolation for the away side.
Dreams FC, lost 0-1 at home to Nations FC at the Tuba Astro Turf with
Nafiu Sulemana, getting an 80th minute winner for the visitors.
Nations FC, are fourth on the table with nine points with Dreams FC who are without a win, in 17th position with three points.
Berekum Chelsea won 1-0 at home to Young Apostles at the Golden City Park, Berekum with Mizack Afriyie, getting the winner for the home side.
The Bibires, are sixth with eight points, and are unbeaten so far with Young Apostles 11th with five points.
