The 88th Ghana Open golf championship teed off the the Centre of the World Club, Tema on Wednesday with a host of prizes at stake.
Golfers, will be competing in this Pro-Am event which climaxes on Saturday on the greens of the most famous golf club in Ghana.
The competition promises to be a thrilling showcase of golfing prowess from the competing field as they battle for honours.
The tournament, sanctioned by the Ghana Golf Association, R&A, and WAGR, teed off with the professionals who will be playing for four days, ending on Saturday.
The Professionals, are competing for a staggering prize money of GH¢100,000 in prize money with the competition expected to be fiercely contested over 72-holes.
The tournament comprises three main events and alongside the professionals category, there will also be competition in the men championship who will play over 54 holes over three days with the ladies championship event also on the cards over 54-holes.
In addition to the main events, the tournament will feature supporting events, like the Men’s Handicap (18 Holes) and Ladies Handicap (18 Holes).
