In anticipation of the significant 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and the Comoros Islands, Ghana’s Black Stars have modified their training itinerary, prompting an early departure to Kumasi.
Initially, the team had intended to train in Accra on Tuesday before commencing their preparations in Kumasi on Wednesday. However, unforeseen changes have emerged, leading to a shift in plans. The players and technical staff are now set to embark on their journey to Kumasi on Tuesday, expediting their preparations for the upcoming fixtures.
“The Black Stars Technical team has made a change to the team’s schedule for the doubleheader against Madagascar and Comoros. The team will now fly to Kumasi on Tuesday morning instead of Wednesday,” announced the Football Association (FA) regarding the alteration.
Furthermore, emphasizing the revised schedule, the FA stated, “The Black Stars will hold its first training at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Tuesday afternoon.”
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium is poised to witness the commencement of Ghana’s campaign as they face Madagascar in their opening Group I clash on Friday. Following this crucial match, the team will swiftly depart for Comoros to engage in their second game just three days later.
