The record champions of the Ghana Premier League Asante Kotoko Sporting Club (26) have confirmed the injury of their young midfielder Michael Kyei Dwamena who joined the porcupine warriors ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Michael Kyei Dwamena sustained an injury after getting on the end of a bad tackle in Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s last league game against Karela United Football Club which they lost by a goal to nil in Nalerigu. Kyei Dwamena has proved pivotal to the Asante Kotoko Sporting Club team since the injury of their workaholic midfielder Sheriff Mohammed in the 3-5-2 system by Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum.
His versatility in the team has seen him play all three matches in the second round of the season. According to Asante Kotoko Sporting Club, Michael Kyei Dwamena will be out for six weeks due to Jones Fracture of the left foot after a medical examination.
Michael Kyei Dwamena will be the third player on the injury list of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club. He has joined Sheriff Mohammed who is out for the rest of the season and young attacker Isaac Oppong.
However, Baba Yahaya has recovery from his illness and will be part of the squad ahead of their midweek action against Accra Lions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
