President for skyy football club Wilson Arthur has express his frustration with the handling of games by referees this season. Speaking to Promise Radio 102.7 in Kumasi, Arthur hinted at the possibility of quitting football altogether due to the perceived injustices faced by his team.
Arthur’s discontent stems from the recent match against Basake Holy Stars Football Club, which ended in a disappointing 0-0 draw. According to Arthur, referee Asare Darko’s decisions during the game were highly questionable, particularly the disallowance of winger Andrews Cobbinah’s early goal. Arthur accused the referee of being sent to “mafia” his team, insinuating biased officiating.
In a bold move, Arthur also put Skyy FC up for sale, stating that if any interested party, especially fans of the club, made a compelling offer, he would consider selling it.
The controversy surrounding referees’ decisions in football matches is not uncommon, but Arthur’s threat to quit the sport and his willingness to part with the club have sparked intense speculation within the football community. As fans await further developments, the future of Skyy FC hangs in the balance, with Arthur’s resolve being put to the ultimate test.
