Omar Amin Mohamed Amin, a 38-year-old lawyer, has been appointed as the referee for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier match between Mali and Ghana. Assisting him will be his compatriots Abouelregal Mahmoud Ahmed Kamel Ahmed as Assistant I, Ibrahim Ahmed Hossameldin Taha as Assistant II, and Hassan Elghandour Ahmed as the Fourth Referee.
Adding to the international representation, Algeria’s Abid Charef Mehdi will serve as the Referee Assessor, while Balde Yaya from Senegal will undertake the role of Match Commissioner. Dao Brahim from Mauritania will ensure security as the Security Officer.
The crucial Group I qualifier is scheduled for kick-off at 19:00hrs at the Stade 26 Mars in Bamako on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
