Asante Kotoko striker Kwame Opoku has revealed that he turned down a highly lucrative offer from Medeama SC to fulfill his lifelong dream of playing for the Porcupine Warriors.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Opoku disclosed that Medeama SC President Moses Armah presented him with a deal that was three times better than what Asante Kotoko offered. However, his unwavering passion for the Kumasi-based club guided his decision.
“Medeama SC President Moses Armah offered me a three-time better deal than what Asante Kotoko offered me, but I declined and decided to join Kotoko. Kotoko is the club that I have always wanted to play for, so I decided to make a return,” Opoku explained.
