In an exclusive development, Division One League side Bekwai Heroes Football Club have undergone a major transformation ahead of the 2025/26 season. The club has officially been renamed Ashgold Football Club and will relocate from Bekwai to Obuasi, where they will host their home matches at the iconic Len Clay Stadium.

This move marks a significant shift in the club’s identity and geographical base, signaling the rebirth of the Ashgold name in Ghanaian football.

Originally known as Galaxy United, the team rebranded as Bekwai Heroes FC before this latest change to Ashgold FC. The renaming and relocation have both been confirmed, signaling a fresh chapter for the club as they gear up for the new season in the Access Bank Division One League.
