Emmanuel Gyamfi Joins Scottish Side Aberdeen from Schalke
Ghanaian left-back Emmanuel Gyamfi has completed a move to Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen, adding defensive depth and youthful energy to the Dons’ backline ahead of the new season.
The 20-year-old, who was born in Germany, makes the switch from Bundesliga outfit Schalke. He arrives in Scotland with valuable experience under his belt, having spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Dutch Eredivisie club VVV-Venlo.
During his time in the Netherlands, Gyamfi featured in 30 matches, providing two assists and earning praise for his consistency, pace, and attacking support from the flanks.
Regarded as a promising talent with international potential, Gyamfi’s versatility and European experience make him a key addition to Aberdeen's squad as they aim to challenge domestically and in European competitions.
The move also marks a significant step in Gyamfi’s career as he seeks to establish himself in a top-flight league and push for future inclusion in the Ghana senior national team.
