EXCLUSIVE: Asante Kotoko Set to Part Ways with Right-Back Adrian Adjetey

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club is set to part ways with right-back Adrian Adjetey following final internal meetings held by the club to determine the future of several players ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Adjetey, who joined the Porcupine Warriors during the second transfer window of last season, has struggled to cement a regular starting spot in the squad. Despite showing glimpses of promise, the technical team has reportedly concluded that he is not part of the club's long-term plans.

The decision comes as part of Kotoko’s broader restructuring process, with management and the technical team currently reviewing contracts and squad depth in preparation for the upcoming campaign.

An official announcement is expected in the coming days, as the club prepares to finalize its retained and released list before preseason begins.

Adjetey is now likely to explore opportunities elsewhere, with several Premier League and Division One clubs expected to show interest in securing his services
