Kotoko Open Talks with Samuel Boadu for Vacant Head Coach Role

Management of Asante Kotoko have officially opened discussions with experienced Ghanaian tactician Samuel Boadu as they seek to fill the club’s vacant head coach position.

The former Medeama SC and Accra Hearts of Oak coach has emerged as a leading candidate, with Kotoko’s hierarchy reportedly impressed by his track record in the Ghana Premier League and his ability to build competitive squads.

Boadu made a name for himself during his time with Medeama before enjoying a successful spell at Hearts of Oak, where he guided the Phobians to major domestic silverware and restored the club’s competitive edge. His experience at managing high-pressure environments is believed to be a key factor in Kotoko’s interest.

Sources indicate that talks are currently at an advanced stage, with discussions focused on the club’s long-term vision, technical structure, and transfer plans. Kotoko are keen on appointing a coach who understands the demands of leading one of Ghana’s most successful clubs and can quickly steady the team.

While negotiations are ongoing, an official confirmation is expected once both parties finalize terms.
