Nsuopun Fidelity FC Edge 10-Man Future Stars Academy 2-1 in Western Region Super Middle League Opener
Nsuopun Fidelity FC kicked off their 2024/25 Western Regional Football Association Super Middle League campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over 10-man Future Stars Academy of Takoradi on Match Day 1.
The game turned dramatic early on as Future Stars were reduced to 10 men, forcing them to play the majority of the match with a numerical disadvantage. Nsuopun took full advantage, opening the scoring through Jacob Manso who calmly converted a penalty.
Samuel Osei Kofi extended the lead for Nsuopun Fidelity FC, giving them a comfortable cushion. Despite being a man down, Future Stars Academy showed resilience and managed to pull one back through Francis Nyame, setting up a tense finish.
However, Nsuopun Fidelity held firm to claim all three points and begin their Super Middle League campaign on a winning note.
