Bibiani GoldStars CEO: “Even José Mourinho Was Sacked, So How Much More Frimpong Manso?”

Chief Executive Officer of Bibiani GoldStars, Akwasi Adu, has defended the club’s decision to part ways with head coach Frimpong Manso, stressing that the move was necessary despite its timing.

Speaking to Akoma 87.9 FM, Adu likened the decision to similar situations in global football.

“Even José Mourinho was sacked, so how much more Frimpong Manso? The decision to part ways with Coach Frimpong Manso goes beyond football,” he explained.

He admitted that the timing of the dismissal may raise eyebrows but insisted it was in the club’s best interest.

“Maybe the timing might be wrong, but after all, two masters cannot steer one ship. We are not so much interested in Africa,” Adu added.

The club recently announced the departure of the former Ghana international, who guided GoldStars through key fixtures in the Ghana Premier League. The management is now expected to appoint a new technical head as they prepare for the next phase of their campaign.
