Kofi Adams to Lead Ministerial Push for Akyem Kotoku Stadium Completion

Hon. Kofi Adams has pledged to rally ministerial collaboration to complete the much-anticipated Akyem Kotoku Stadium. This move promises to boost youth and sports development in the traditional area.

During a courtesy call from HGM Oseadeayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV, Omanhene of Akyem Kotoku Traditional Council, Hon. Kofi Adams expressed appreciation for the traditional leader’s recognition and assured him of his commitment to the community’s developmental needs.

The Omanhene lauded Hon. Kofi Adams as a man of integrity who has distinguished himself in his service to the nation. He emphasized the significant contributions of Akyem Kotoku to Ghana’s development, highlighting the community’s potential in youth and sports development as a catalyst for economic growth and wealth creation.

The traditional leader appealed to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation to mobilize corporate sponsorship and support to ensure the completion of the stadium, which he believes will serve as a hub for nurturing talent and igniting sporting activities that can benefit the local economy.

HGM Oseadeayo Dr. Frimpong Manso IV also expressed optimism that the completed stadium would stimulate sports activities and serve as a platform for youth empowerment in the area.

In response, Hon. Kofi Adams expressed humility and gratitude for the warm appreciation from the Omanhene. He stated that the courtesy call and the proposal to complete the stadium have motivated him to initiate the necessary processes. 

He assured the traditional leader of his commitment to mobilize relevant government sectors, including the Ministries of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, as well as Lands, Forestry and Natural Resources, to support the project’s realization.

“The objective is to develop talents within the community and make this project a positive force for youth empowerment and economic development,” Hon. Kofi Adams affirmed.

This collaborative effort underscores the government’s commitment to fostering local development, harnessing traditional leadership, and investing in sports as a means to uplift communities and create wealth.
