Kweku Sagoe Joins GFA U16 Boys Management Committee to Drive Youth Football Development
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Kweku Sagoe, Head of Marketing at newly promoted Division One League club Nsuopon Fidelity FC, to the U16 Boys Management Committee as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s youth football structures.
Sagoe’s inclusion in the committee highlights the GFA’s commitment to combining football marketing expertise with grassroots development. His role at Nsuopon Fidelity FC, where he has been instrumental in promoting the club’s brand and building community support, positions him as a valuable asset in shaping the visibility and sustainability of the U16 Boys program.
The committee will be chaired by Alhaji Baba Osman Daney, President of Sankara Nationals FC and Director of Finance at the National Youth Authority, with Gabriel Godwin Kwao, Vice Chairman of the Greater Accra Regional Football Association, serving as Vice Chairman. Other members include Masawudu Ahmed, Founder and President of Ebony FC, and Siaka Musah, President of Dormaa Unity FC.
Their mandate is to oversee talent identification, player development, and the smooth organization of competitions at the U16 level. With Sagoe’s marketing background, the GFA is optimistic about enhancing the program’s visibility, attracting sponsorships, and creating sustainable pathways for young talents.
The formation of this committee marks a significant step in grooming future Black Starlets and ensuring that youth football remains a cornerstone of Ghana’s football development agenda.
