Tarkwa Barcelona FC Pays Tribute to Football Icon Kwabina Asante Ahead of WRFA Division Two Super Middle League

Tarkwa Barcelona FC, led by Club President Iddrisu Murtala Mohammed Sapisty, management members, and the playing body, paid a heartfelt visit today, April 11, 2025, to the residence of the esteemed former Tarkwa United Chairman and former Medeama SC and Wassaman United FC executive member, Mr. Kwabina Asante, at Cyanide.

The purpose of the visit was to seek his prayers and blessings as the club prepares for the upcoming Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) Division Two Super Middle League to be held in Tarkwa Nsuaem.

During the emotional encounter, Tarkwa Barcelona FC took the opportunity to present an undisclosed cash donation to Mr. Asante, in appreciation of his immense contributions to the development of football in Tarkwa and the Western Region at large.

The club praised Mr. Asante for his unwavering dedication and passion for the game and expressed their hope that he continues to enjoy long life and good health to witness the success of Tarkwa Barcelona FC.

The team has pledged to honor his legacy by striving for victory in the WRFA Super Middle League and earning qualification to the 2025/2026 Access Bank Division One League.
