Tarkwa Residents Reject NSA Takeover of TNA Stadium, Demand Local Control

The people of Tarkwa have firmly rejected any attempt by the National Sports Authority (NSA) to take over the management of the TNA Stadium, insisting that they will manage the facility themselves.

In a tense meeting held yesterday with key stakeholders, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Tarkwa Nsuaem, Hon. Ebenezer Cobbinah, was emphatically told to relay the community’s stance to his superior, the Western Regional Minister.

According to the stakeholders present, any move by the Regional Minister and the NSA to forcibly assume control of the stadium will be strongly resisted by the residents of Tarkwa. The gathering emphasized that the community is capable and willing to manage the stadium independently without external interference.

The strong position taken by the people underscores a growing desire for local ownership and accountability in the management of community assets like the TNA Stadium.
