2025/26 Ghana Premier League Season Kicks Off on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium

The long-awaited 2025/26 Ghana Premier League season is set to officially kick off on Friday, September 12, 2025, with a grand opening ceremony at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The event will be graced by H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, who will perform the ceremonial kick-off alongside GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, marking the beginning of another exciting football season.

Fans can look forward to a thrilling matchday as Accra Hearts of Oak face newly-promoted Hohoe United in the season opener at 7:00 PM. Before that, the Black Starlets will lock horns with Auroras FC in a curtain-raiser scheduled for 4:00 PM.

Adding to the spectacle, award-winning Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy will deliver a special live performance to energize the crowd ahead of the main fixture.
