Asante Kotoko SC Cruise Past Bibiani GoldStars SC 2–0 in Outstanding League Fixture
Asante Kotoko SC cruised to a 2–0 victory over Bibiani GoldStars SC in their outstanding Ghana Premier League fixture at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
The Porcupine Warriors started brightly and took early control of the game, with Walid Fuseini and Philip Amoh commanding the midfield and dictating play. Their dominance soon paid off when Peter Acquah Amidu rose highest to head home from an inch-perfect cross by Albert Amoah, giving Kotoko a deserved lead.
Bibiani GoldStars tried to respond but found it difficult to break through Kotoko’s solid backline, while goalkeeper Aziz Dari remained alert to deal with the few chances that came his way.
In the second half, Asante Kotoko continued to press for a second goal, and their efforts were rewarded when Albert Amoah produced a moment of brilliance — curling a superb strike from outside the penalty box into the top corner to double the lead and seal the victory.
The win lifts Kotoko higher up the table as they continue to build momentum and confidence under Coach Abdul Karim Zito. Bibiani GoldStars, on the other hand, will need to bounce back quickly after a tough outing in Kumasi.
