Black Stars to Receive $5,000 Winning Bonus for World Cup Qualifiers
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has confirmed that each player of the Black Stars will pocket $5,000 as a winning bonus for Ghana’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Chad and Mali.
The decision comes as part of government’s renewed efforts to motivate the national team ahead of two crucial fixtures that could shape Ghana’s qualification journey.
The Black Stars face Chad away on Wednesday, September 4, before hosting Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 8.
Sports Minister Kofi Adams emphasized that the bonus package is a demonstration of government’s commitment to ensuring the players are fully motivated to deliver victories.
The Black Stars are targeting maximum points from the two fixtures to strengthen their chances of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
