BREAKING: Hearts of Oak Set to Part Ways with Forward Asamoah Boateng Afriyie
Accra Hearts of Oak are on the verge of parting ways with striker Asamoah Boateng Afriyie following a mutual agreement between both parties to terminate his contract.
The forward, who joined the Phobians last season, has found limited opportunities since his arrival at the club. Despite initial promise and flashes of potential, Boateng Afriyie struggled to secure regular game time under the various technical handlers that managed the team during the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
Club sources indicate that the decision to mutually terminate the contract stems from the player’s desire for more playing time and a fresh challenge, while Hearts of Oak are also looking to restructure their attacking options ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Asamoah Boateng Afriyie is now expected to become a free agent and will be open to negotiations with interested clubs both locally and abroad.
Hearts of Oak, on the other hand, are already lining up reinforcements in attack as they aim to improve their performance in the next season after a disappointing league campaign.
