The 2025/26 Ghana Premier League kicked off with drama, close contests, and standout individual displays, as nine players were named Most Valuable Players (MVPs) after the opening round of matches.

In Tamale, Gariba Faisal delivered a match-winning performance to hand Karela United a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aduana Stars, securing a dream start for the Pride and Passion boys.

At Samreboi, Kingsford Bafoe was the standout performer in the midfield despite Basake Holy Stars being held to a 0-0 draw by Techiman Eleven Wonders.
