Black Stars vs Central African Republic Clash Moved to Morocco
The Black Stars of Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixture against the Central African Republic (CAR) has been relocated to Morocco. The crucial Matchday 9 encounter will now take place at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
Originally scheduled to be played in the Central African Republic, the match had to be moved due to the hosts’ lack of a CAF-approved venue for international fixtures. As a result, the Central African Republic Football Federation opted for Morocco as their designated home ground for the qualifier.
The upcoming fixture is a pivotal one in Group I, with Ghana pushing to secure qualification for the 2026 World Cup to be hosted across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The Black Stars will aim to build on their recent performances and strengthen their position in the group standings with a vital away result.
Head coach Otto Addo is expected to name a strong squad for the encounter as Ghana looks to continue its unbeaten run in the qualifiers and move closer to a return to the global stage.
The match at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknès will kick off at 19:00 GMT.
