BREAKING: Right-Back Michael Ampadu Leaves Hearts of Oak After Two Seasons
Accra Hearts of Oak have parted ways with right-back Michael Ampadu following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season. The club officially informed the defender that his contract, which expires this month, will not be renewed.
Ampadu, who joined the Phobians two seasons ago, made several appearances for the club and was known for his work rate and defensive contributions on the right flank. However, he is not part of the club’s plans for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.
Sources close to the club suggest that Hearts of Oak are undertaking a major squad overhaul as they look to rebuild for next season, with Ampadu among the players deemed surplus to requirements.
The 26-year-old is now a free agent and expected to weigh his options ahead of the new season.
